"When my organization presented the opportunity to learn Dutch, I was very excited to join.

Now I feel that I enjoyed the course even more than I had imagined.

To start with, it was not very easy for me. ..... But when we started, right from the first lesson I started to realize that it could be fun learning a new language.

Most importantly, you made it very easy. Your active engagement with the group & insightful details wherever required were really helpful & made me confident that I can learn this language.

The group activities, fun games kept us engaged & not even once I felt that I needed a break in that 3 hour session.

Now I realize, you were more a mentor than a tutor to all of us.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 outbreak we could not continue our face to face meetings. But as it is correctly said "Where there is a will, there is a way".

And indeed you made sure that we did not miss anything even in this lock down/work from home situation. Our virtual sessions were equally informative & insightful. You managed to provide us all that was required for continuing our learning. It was not easy. Given that everybody was working from home & sometimes the schedules clashed with client meetings/ work related discussions.

But thanks to you, you made sure that no body missed anything by sending the slides & whatsapp updates.

I thank you sincerely for collaborating. As I have said earlier also, I feel a lot more comfortable with Dutch now than I used to."

"I really enjoyed the lessons. Your approach to teach is very interactive and helpful in grasping the subject. Everything was so systematic with proper planning and agenda. The expectations were set right on first day of the class.

Every day we had a new outlook like games, online quiz, music, one to one practice sessions, etc. These all made the class so cheerful. You not only taught the language but also gave an insight about Nederland and the culture like the feasts, celebrations, sports. You have always been so friendly and easy to approach to clear doubts. Regarding the conversion to online sessions, I don't find any difference. You are one of the best teachers I had.

"Joan helped me prepare for NT2 staatexamen (level B1). She was the best support I could get to get me past the last hurdles towards that goal. Among the things I appreciated about Joan and our class was her flexibility and the way she always adapted the lessons to provide me with just what I need.
